Getting hunger when eating rotten flesh isn't currently standardised between both players (at least as far as I'm aware from my playing in private games), which can be really impactful for both the eating unique foods and the status effects goal. For example, in a game I had I lost both the eat 5 unique foods and the 3 status effects at once, simply because my opponent got hunger from the 1 rotten flesh in the igloo when I didn't.

if this is true, hunger from chicken and poison from poisonous potato should probably be standardized as well

yeah they all use the same Consume Effect to apply their random effects, so it's the same rng rolls
noura ๐3 months ago
they just have different chances

wouldn't be hard to standardize it i don't think

though i wonder if that means the rng will generate a different number for rotten flesh if you ate 2 chicken first, while your opponent ate 1

if you standardize the randomness with a seed, eating chicken will change it, which will affect the rotten flesh rng as well

(i don't know how draftout standardized things like this, it might be possible to have different seeds for each item)
