discord

this can help with filtering searches, general thread organization, and giving a place for some "gray area" posts that don't currently have a better place to be shared, such as custom boards. i'm imagining we can have tags like:
- guide/tutorial
- website
- tool
- practice map
- stream overlay
- custom board/seed

older threads in the channel will need to have their tags manually added, but i can take it upon myself to do so (i'm so humble)

If you just ask people to update their posts themselves that could probably take a lot of the load off

nodders

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

i think discord still hides your own threads from the channel list if they haven't had enough activity in a few days, annoyingly

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

otherwise it'd be easier for everyone to find what they posted

Threadfinn3 months ago

It does, I wish there was a good way to search for my own posts

jes3 months ago

uhhh actually i'm not sure if without manage channel permissions you can retroactively change tags on posts you made

jes3 months ago

i might be wrong but since i own almost every discord i use i don't actually know what it's like without

jes3 months ago

Nvm you can

jes3 months ago

i'm wrong

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

you can

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

yeah

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

i'm not active in too many servers so i had to find a thread i made in 2023 to check

jes3 months ago

the server limit is really only a me issue man

everyone i know is in like sub 30 servers

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

i think i'm in like 50, it's always funny when i meet someone for the first time and we have like 10 servers in common

so did the original discussion get deleted? cuz I had just typed out a long organized argument about why it should be the strat-dev forum for the custom boards

(sorry to start again on an unrelated thread)

Threadfinn3 months ago

It's just locked and hidden

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

if you mean the #custom-boards channel suggestion, it's just closed https://discord.com/channels/1493030345048719483/1528410869501923481

tnx pls continue

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

but tbh this is a separate suggestion that doesn't need to be directly related to it

noura 🜛OP3 months ago

like the practice map tag would be rly useful since they're pretty scattered atm

jes3 months ago

r0hkx's site is great for searching but not much else so it would be nice to not have to use a third party tool

jes3 months ago

because discord does suck at caching yes

jes3 months ago

but when loading smaller amounts of data (in categories) it sucks less

layb 🍉2 months ago

i'd be down for this, but it would probably be more of a @r0hkx implementation (because i don't play the game lol)

r0hkx2 months ago

id have to look through resources more to get a better feel for what the tags should be but your suggested ones look good

noura 🜛OP2 months ago

awesome

Any progress on this?
