discord

Would probably help with alot of the questions I see asked repeatedly.

Examples:
Difference between Draftout Lockout and Blackout
Explaining what backseating is (Alot of people don’t realize you can’t ask for help when in a comp match)
Preliminary introduction about what each channel is for (So people know where to ask/post things)

Half of my thread got evaporated by discord aga

this would serve the ppl that cant look in the maintenances channel when the server is down. the idea is great but we will still get the questions. At least we can direct them somewhere ig

SparkFire_OP2 months ago

Yeah

nakedhippo2195872 months ago

yeah there a lot questions being repeated but if you make a list and the list goes on so find your question and its answer will take longer then going to general and having somebody answer it instantly

SparkFire_OP2 months ago(edited)

The list would only need the most asked ones or yeah it would become a text wall

nakedhippo2195872 months ago

yeah its kinda good and bad idea at the same time
the best option is just to ask in general

noura 🜛2 months ago

i disagree

noura 🜛2 months ago

it's easy to make the questions simple and searchable

noura 🜛2 months ago

so even if someone doesn't look through here, it shows up when they search the discord

nakedhippo2195872 months ago(edited)

depends what questions/answer are in the list

what about if you want to ask a question but you don't know how to ask it because you don't know the name of the item/place

so lets say a member goes to general and asking it and you as a mod tell him go do "#FAQ" and search for what you need

nakedhippo2195872 months ago

happens to me most of the times I ask questions

Im not a minecraft player so I have no knowledge of item names or places

so if I want to know a repeated question and find the title of it

I'll need to know the item and place to find it
or I can just read the whole list and search for it
or ask in general and receive answer

noura 🜛2 months ago

huh

noura 🜛2 months ago

if it's about a specific item why would it in be the faq

noura 🜛2 months ago

matter of fact why would any vanilla feature be there? it's supposed to be for draftout specific questions

noura 🜛2 months ago

as in, "how do i get 500% brightness", "will there be 2v2 in lobbies", "how do i use custom board files" etc

noura 🜛2 months ago

you may have interpreted the suggestion differently, that's fine, but i don't imagine op was thinking of the faq as a giant list with 500 answers instead of just, you know, Frequently Asked Questions

nakedhippo2195872 months ago

oh well I really did understood that differently

in that case this simple questions in a FAQ chat can be useful

as of right now, i dont think there are any plans to add further to this discord. if you need help, the community is more than happy to do so in #public-help

layb 🍉2 months ago

i also personally feel like the channel titles are self explanatory
