- can endar for horse for plains
both methods are pretty reliable cuz if drowned is further than 8 chunks you can be sure its an ocean ruin drowned, and horses in taiga or snowy villages are very rare. but its quite rare that you end up in a situation they are actually helpful in so looking for more methods

you can endar for turtle for beach as well (which should be next to an ocean)

and ofc biome params are just a thing, but you have no guarantee they will continue changing the way you want them to

Yes, but if the closest drowned is farther than 8 chunks it has to be an ocean ruin drowned

You can pie for chicken in the nether to locate a crimson biome, nether wastes biome, or nether fortress within 8 chunks

the only difference is they can also spawn as a strider jockey (3.3% of striders)

the chicken of a chicken jockey can despawn, right? like the whole jockey is considered hostile for despawning i would imagine

Yeah the chicken can despawn, even if the rider is killed its still considered hostile
