basically you need 4 of each blocks to be able to craft a polished 4 blocks and from 4 polished blocks you can craft poslished slabs

its going to be 9 available polished slabs in the sulfer update
so half of them are really easy to find which are the Diorite, Grantie and Andesite
and then comes the medium find in deeper caves: Tuff, Deepslate, Cinnabar, Sulfur
then in nether: Blackstone, Blackstone brick

you get 2 from the nether and at least 2 from digging to a tc, so i can see it just becoming "find the andesite before your opponent" or something

and to remember you need to save 4 of each without throwing them by mistake is going to be not easy

if you find Diorite, Grantie, Andesite
you are still missing 3
4 (2 deepslate and tuff which are easy, and sulfur and cinnabar not that easy) you can find in deep cave but what if you don't go to deep cave and focus on something else or seed is bad for caves
so -deepslate, -tuff, -sulfur, - cinnabar
you can only get 2 in nether "Blackstone, Blackstone brick"
so you are left with needing to find a cave one of "Tuff, Deepslate, Cinnabar, Sulfur"

not to mention Sulfur and Cinnabar are not easy to find
to if you find Diorite, Grantie, Andesite, deepslate and tuff you still have to go to nether a bastion to complete it or piglin trade and get Blackstone as well
