That's a vanilla feature when there's no BT "in range" of the shipwreck

vanilla fixed it in 26.2 by making it only generate bt maps when there's one in range

26.3 not 26.2, and i had thought they made it so that the search was just much quicker and found stuff further away, but checked the code, you're right, if theres no bt within 50 chunks, the map won't generate in the chest
